There is a big discussion about Styles. Some players say that it doesn't matter. Though by the Fashland official Forum (Click here to see the thread)
"we implemented a themed version of the contest last week. This contest asks players to dress according to a backdrop"
"but players continue to enter and vote for Bridal, Evening, and Fantasy Style outfits."
"we have identified the need to award players who dress according to the themed backdrop".
This means Style is important and in each theme we have some styles that are awarded.
This is the reason I have been posting suggested styles. Though more important would be which styles NOT to use. It's not so easy, but we keep trying our best.

For me this Fashcup was a surprise. I am on the Top-10 of my neighbors, but I only had 68%. My Top-10 neighbors got good results, a lot of them had 5 tiaras as a reward. Puffff!!! I go again for the lucky factor. The winners now are more different and several.

Why my bad result if an equal doll has a good result?
Why some dolls have better result than you?
Did you ever wondered why some dolls have less items or weaker items than yours and they manage to get an equal or better result?
Answer: It depends on your level in the game.
Above image: the right side is more than level 100, left side is less than level 30.
A higher level had unlocked new items and Gamegos tries to equal the chances to win, by the voting system. It seems lower levels have more voting times and higher levels less.
So, how to get better results:
Try to have the best at your level for a theme.
This means, you use what you have in most of the themes and for some themes (by your choice) you use all your keys to get the best items. You only need to get the best dress, or suit at first.
Trying to get very good results in all the themes is very hard. There are some themes, as someone said, that gives advantage to lower levels. Other themes, like Wedding Aisle, that a lower level can't win the Global-10, for example, because you need to have the best wedding dresses.

Winner style is mainly Gothic with some fantasy style, with a little of sporty style (pink portable box radio) and Haute Couture (earrings). Congratulations for your imagination! Very well done! Most of the winners chose Gothic and Rock 'n Roll Styles, all together. Other winners chose Casual and Sporty Style.
I had a low result (70%) because I didn't make the effort to be different. Well, we can't do it all times. I have been with fewer time to play and not much focus in the game, due to private issues. Also, this theme is better for lower level players. You can just use the jeans jacket and pants with some little extra and "voilá", you are in the Top-10 :)

Winner style is business, this time red is the leading color. Other colours were white/purple, grey and yellow. Masculine Style was also used, only the white/black dress. Curious that most of the players choose a serious doll. I chose one doll almost crying, with grey hair. LOL This is my opinion of what work does to you or if you know you are going to be fired (just joking - I am going through a sad time, and nothing work related).

When I was voting I noticed that Boho and Casual are the stronger styles matching this theme. This means between two basic clothes in the Boho/Casual Style and another style, the game gives ok for the first group. Then, it follows the Country, Retro and Preppy Style.
A weak match are the styles: bridal, evening and business.

Seasonal quests usually requires you unlock some clothes with your keys. asking items from friends, collecting hearts by going to events and voting for the contests. Is this worthy?
My experience says, no it is not.
So why do we do it? We do it because we like to have more clothes and the accessories are always a nice to have.
